AscendTech brings together people from around the world. We expect everyone to help make the event and the Founder Hub respectful, safe and welcoming. This code applies to attendees, finalists, investors, speakers, sponsors, staff and volunteers, at the event, at related gatherings and online.
Treat everyone with respect and courtesy
Respect different views, backgrounds and experience
Respect people's time and personal boundaries
Keep what others share in confidence unless they agree otherwise
Follow the directions of event staff and venue rules
Harassment, intimidation or discrimination of any kind
Unwelcome sexual attention or inappropriate physical contact
Offensive comments or images
Spam, mass pitching or aggressive selling
Recording or sharing someone's confidential material without permission
Misrepresenting who you are, your company or your investment activity
AscendTech may be photographed and filmed, and this material may be used to report on and promote the event. Please respect any request not to be photographed by other attendees.
If you experience or see anything that concerns you, please tell a member of event staff or write to legal@ascendtech.ca. In the Founder Hub, you can also use the report option. We take every report seriously.
We may warn, remove or ban anyone who breaks this code, withdraw a pass or finalist place without a refund, and contact the authorities where appropriate.
